Abstract Art and Oil Painting Reproductions

Abstract art is an artistic impression of a subject or a feeling rather than an exact likeness. If you want a flower that looks like a flower or a house that looks like a house, then abstract art is probably not for you. Abstract art is about expressing feelings, moods and perceptions through colors and / or shapes. Part of abstract art are very complex and detailed, while others are quite simple.

Cubism, Abstract Expressionism and Neo three important categories of abstract art. Let's look at the origins of this interesting so we can better understand how he became the art form.

Cubism is an avant-garde released around 1907 by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. Subjects and real objects have been removed, and "reassembled" from many different angles in an abstract form. This dissection of a subject and put it back together is notable characteristic of Cubism.

The form of abstract art called Neo, was a Dutch movement that began in the late 1910s Neo is based on the premise that art should not be the reproduction of real objects, but the expression of absolute life. This form of abstract art followed the reasoning that the artist must create lines only and colors rather than realistic subject matter. This simplifies the abstract art movement subject to the vertical and horizontal directions, and used only primary colors and black and white. Two of the original founders of the movement were neo Theo van Doesburg and Piet Mondrian.

Abstract expressionism was an American art after World War II. Jackson Pollock is one of the artists who have helped make this art form into being. With this form of art and the artist quickly applied to a large canvas or painting with a brush or literally throwing paint on the canvas. What appeared to be a completely random accident and was actually very planned. The expressive method of painting was often considered as important as the painting itself. This form of abstract art is characterized by a spirit of revolt and a fundamental belief in freedom of expression.

Another form of abstract art is conceptual art. Basically, the concept art is just that, a concept. An artist has an idea and create a work of art based on its interpretation or concept, rather than the traditional way of painting or sculpture that is normally done. Conceptual artists establish their idea or concept of focal point, instead of the object they represent.

Many other artists have contributed to the development of abstract art. Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and Joan Miró are just over 20,000, most famous abstract artists. With so many artists contributing to the development of abstract art, it is not surprising that there are so many forms and interpretations of abstract art in different existence.

Today, artists continue to create unique works of abstract art. Abstract art does not appeal to all lovers of art. Some art lovers must have real objects represented in almost photographic detail to enjoy. Other fully appreciate the emotional, spontaneous and impulsive expression revealed in abstract art.
