Religion, Arts and Science - Why Branches of the Same Tree?

All human creations can be divided into three broad categories namely, science, religion and the arts. Principle of art refers to any skill or human domain. However, during the Romantic period, art was separated from the other two major branches of the human being to say the creation of science and religion. Art, science and religion are considered different specializations that have nothing in common.

Albert Einstein said.? "All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree" But do not know why, after all, religion is based on faith, you do not need evidence. Science is based on facts to be proved by evidence. Art respect human emotion and requires neither faith nor evidence that we know that it is a fiction or an object created solely from the imagination of a human mind.

Art: An imagination that needs emotional tests

It is extremely difficult to define art. Art is, fortunately, a work of imagination and human creativity that is free of any easement or test. The only reason why a particular music is considered an art that draws the listener. The test of a good painting is the appreciation of the audience. No logic, reason or evidence is required to call an art as well as their only criteria is that it should be appreciated by people.

While the claims of science and religion as fact and representation of reality, art has no qualms in admitting that it is not a fiction. In fact, some forms of arts such as film and novels make clear that they are the work of fiction and any resemblance to reality or reality is purely accidental. Literature, other art form, is officially called fiction as any in the novel or story is fiction that are created only by human imagination.

Therefore, an essential characteristic of art is that it is not a representation of reality or reality. Still, a good movie or a story that makes you mourn, increased heartbeat that makes you laugh and makes you forget that this is not a reality. The effect of good art is not different from that created by reality.

The interesting thing about art is that it affects your emotions and not the spirit. When you read a thriller like "The Da Vinci Code, his mind is very aware that everything in the novel is fiction, but you can not control your emotions arising in the unit as if you are reading a true story characters in the situation in real life. fiction in a classic, all the characters and situations are created by the author's imagination, but they look pretty real. fiction is, therefore, does not work all the imagination, but consists of many facts and realities that make the fiction as reality.

It can be compared to a painting of a beautiful woman. The girl may be imaginary, but the characteristics of the girl having a close resemblance to real girls. The colors of the painter are also real, which may not be exactly the same as the real-life daughter to give the impression of a real girl, when woven from the viewer's imagination. An artist creates the body of reality, but the soul of reality comes from the imagination of the viewer who pours his soul in art. Therefore, when a novel is read by a million people, every person imagines the characters and the situation of his own imagination.

Therefore art is created by the artist's imagination that appeals to the emotions of others. The true test of art is not the criterion of truth (if it is closer to the truth), but how much it resembles the truth. The test of art is not proof or evidence that he has, but how the reader perceives the truth in fiction. To convey the real message in the form of the characters and the situation imagination itself is an art that only artists can understand. If art can not affect the heart (emotions) of people, it can be considered a good art.

Science: An imagination that requires physical evidence

Science is the knowledge created by the imagination (hypotheses) of the human mind, but verifiable facts and physical evidence. A scientific hypothesis is generally a phenomenon to explain the phenomenon, provide a logical consequence of the proposal to test the prediction, and review of all errors. Therefore, the origin of science is an assumption that a scientific fact after an observation. The critical test of science is the fulfillment of the physical evidence.

Hypothesis is nothing but the imagination of scientists. So any scientific theory as the art originated in the imagination of the human mind. But science deals with matter and its truth must be proven by physical evidence. For example, if E = mc2 was not verifiable by experiments, have thrown the scientific theory of relativity of Einstein, whatever the merits of the argument or theory.

Religion: an imagination you need social proof

Religion often refers to a religion and beliefs on organized spiritual or metaphysical world together. The concept of religion may or may not have the concept of God. All religions, however, have a common set of beliefs and rituals that are required to be followed by his followers.

Religions are a curious mixture of science and art. The followers of all religions are absolutely sure of the truth of Scripture, while others are often a work of fiction. However, unlike the arts, where artists always tell people that art is a product of his imagination, the prophets or the author of religion often call the gospel truth acquired directly from God. .

Therefore, religions and the arts and sciences also seems to come from the human imagination. Often, their creators are known as prophets or son of God who have acquired knowledge directly from God or Spirit. For example, the Bible and the Koran are considered God's revelation to prophets and consider the words of God. Gita is considered the words of Lord Krishna. However, some religions like Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism are believed to be native to the mortal human beings, even if the follower of religion often try to exalt their status in the deity calling Mahavir Jain and Buddha not as ordinary human beings, but avatar or incarnation of God and building their statues as God.

One Tree many branches

It is clear that the source of all the arts, science and religion is the imagination of the human mind. However, the human imagination different names, such as fiction, hypothesis or disclosure depending on the setting are given. When Newton saw the apple fall from a tree, the gravitational force that drew down the block imagined. Galileo pointed his heliocentric theory of the solar system according to your imagination that the earth revolved around the sun. It was an extraordinary imagination went beyond sensory perception. He had no particular meaning, to visualize how land mass could turn a small (search) sun. Einstein imagined that all the movements of the planets are only relative and that light is a particle and a wave, depending on your imagination.

However, it is unclear why such a fantasy born in the minds of these chosen individuals. Was it God's will to manifest the truth through these people? Or was man's desire to discover the truth that leads to much imagination? The first hypothesis is that given by believers or religious persons. However, if we assume the truth of the second hypothesis and then also the question remains, why this desire arises which culminated in people with an extraordinary imagination?

Mind Body and Soul

Almost all religions and spiritual people believe in the existence of body, mind, soul and spirit (or God). However, science does not believe in any other organ of anything because he considers even matter which part of the body (brain) and explains the thoughts in terms of bio-chemistry. This notion of different religions are explained. Gita (III 42) explains the relationship between the body, mind, soul and spirit as follows.

Way are superior to those of the body. Above the senses is the mind, beyond the mind is the soul (individual intelligence) and, especially, the soul is God (Universal Intelligence or Spirit).
Based on this theory, we find that there are four levels of evolution of human thought. A man "see" the world differently according to the "stage" of evolution.

Eyes of the Body: The first level of evolution is the level of the body. At this level, we see the world through the eyes of the physical body. This feature is common to all animals in the world as everyone has the eyes of the body. At this point, seeing is believing.

The mind's eye: In the next level of evolution, we can see the world through the eyes of the mind, ie, using logic and reasoning. We believe that everything in the world can be explained by the mind. We not only see what is before our eyes, but what can not be seen by the physical eyes. For example, you see a moving car, you know it has to be the driver who was driving the car. It is a stage where you see what you believe.

Eyes of the Soul: The next level of evolution is reached when we see the limitation of logic to explain the world. Then, we try to understand the world from our own perception and experience. The wise have always believed that to know the world, you must know your self. At this point, man thinks "EG Brahmasm" (I am the universe.) As rightly pointed Upanishads several thousand years ago.

As is the human body, so is the cosmic body

Because the human, mind so that the cosmic mind

As is the microcosm, so is the macrocosm

Radhakrishnan S, one of the greatest philosophers of science of modern India the world concept is summarized in the following

Philosophical attempt to determine the nature of reality can start with either self-reflection or an object of thought. In India, the interest of philosophy in the car man. In India .. "ātmānam Viddhi" Knowing self summarizes the law and the prophets. Human beings, is the spirit that is the center of everything.

In this sense, even the Western thoughts were not very different. Socrates said

"You can teach a person a thing. You can not find in himself."

Man is able to visualize the truths or secrets of the universe that is not visible to the eye or sense or grasped by the mind and logic. These are truths that are available in the arts, religion and science. We know we want to help a child who is crying or poor without knowing the logic and the conclusion that other people must also think the same. We cry when we see injustice and know it is a universal human desire. Once we know, we know that the universe

Eyes of the Spirit: When a person moves to the mind is able to see the world as an extension of himself. The limits of time and space cease to exist as a get one with the soul of the soul or mind of the universal soul. Hence understand God's thoughts or deepest secret of nature. Every great imagination and classic are only created when a person is able to reach the final stage of evolution. At this level, the soul rises to the level of the mind and the man away from the material body. However, this step is not permanent as man is soon brought into the world by the forces of the material world. However, in the process, becomes God's thoughts. This is the highest state of imagination and discover God's thoughts at this stage.

Translation of Divine Knowledge to the world

Once a person knows the thoughts of God or of the deepest secrets of the universe, the challenge is how to make the world believe what we have seen in the eyes of the mind? His ideas seem stupid in the world because they are unique and understandable to the common man.

A method to convince the truth is to produce imagination in words or in other art forms such as theater, film, visual arts, music, poetry, etc. If there is a universal truth in these arts, which affects the souls others as they find the truth in these fictions, even if you can not prove. The characters and the situation can be imagined in fiction, but the truth in the art can be made through the eyes of the soul. Thus, art is nothing but the truth can not be explained by logic or reason. So art is a way to express truths that are not tested by logic or scientific evidence, it is done by the heart or the emotions of the viewer.

However, this does not mean that art is without logic or evidence. Nobody would accept an illogical idea that art. If fiction films or illogical, man can accept. However, the artist has an obligation to give a logic to what he says or does, or to provide evidence of this.

Religious principles must also demonstrate the company. Therefore, more difficult criterion. The truth of religion is to be tested with real people. In most cases, the prophets or gurus provide evidence of the truth by applying it to themselves and to satisfy the curiosity of others to provide satisfactory answers to your questions. The life of Jesus or Mohammed is proof that its truths are real and acceptable to society. The same can be said for Buddha, Guru Nanak and Jain and therefore the authors of many sects. Imagine, if Buddha had said the same things when he was a thief or bandit. No one had heard their words. So religions also require proof.

If religion claims to supernatural and metaphysical effects, people expect miracles of prophets and gurus. However, none of these miracles are expected in religions that are based on logic, including Buddhism and Jainism. Therefore, the truth of religion is to be tested by people over time. Only when religion has been tested over a long period of time, it is accepted by the people as a matter of faith. Faith is not the cause of religion, but the consequence of its truth.

The truth of a religion is applicable to the company, which must convince a company so it is stronger, happier and more harmonious. It is a historical fact that Christianity, Islam and Hinduism have played an important role in the integration of a large number of people in Europe, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent and made her stronger, prosperous and happy disciple.

A scientific theory also begins with imagination or assumption made by the wise. However, a scientist must convince the world to provide physical evidence of the theory. It may be in the form of experiments or logic. However, the physical evidence is at the heart of science. For example, although Einstein gave the theory of relativity in 1905 and the theory of general relativity in 1916, based on the predicted curvature of the starlight in the vicinity of a massive body like the Sun, but its hypothesis was confirmed only in 1919 during a solar eclipse, it is only then the scientific community accepted his theories and awarded the Nobel prize for the photoelectric paper was written in 1905 as scientific truth is related to issues, therefore, must be tested on the material.

conclusion

Art, science and religion have their origin in the imagination of the human mind. However, all imaginations can not be true. Therefore, all design should be tested before being accepted by the world. So these are branches of the same tree as rightly said by Einstein as they all represent the truth of God's thoughts, the secret revealed to the human spirit of his imagination universe.

Life is a mystery that can not be explained either by science or by scriptures. Truth has a body and a soul which we call science and religion. Contrary to popular belief, not oppose each other but complement each other like body and soul. In fact, they can not exist without the other.
